This weekend we took it easy and did a trip to one of our local mountains (Lusen in the Bavarian Forest, Germany) - if you can call a hill with a height of roughly 1370 m a mountain =) It was quite a steep climb though and of course we brought our Sheltie boy with us. God he was so tired afterwards, his head literally fell to the floor when he lied down. It was kinda weird, the weather was so warm that we had to walk with t-shirts. However as last week it was cold here, there was fresh snow on some parts of the mountain. So we walked on the snow, in t-shirts while getting sunburnt in our faces =)
Either way! I got new reading material =) So prepare for some reviews the upcoming days.
I am currently reading Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- one of my favorite authors. I simply love her writing style and
especially the way she let's her characters interact (no lovey dovey boo
boo shit but instead some really funny discussions!).
Additionally to that I am reading a free book called Suicide Game by Andy Rausch. I don't quite know what to think of that yet - it didn't catch me even though I am already 40% through. We will see...
Hello, I am Yox =D
So like, this is Yox. He is furry, he is a sheltie, hes cute as hell- and currently nine months old =D
As requested by a friend, I share a few pictures of him here.
Chilling in the sun =D
Still chilling in the sun ;D
I'm da coolest Sheltie in da house, yo!
But even a cute little Sheltie needs a bath every now and then. Too bad I took no pictures after i dried his hair, he looked as if I just took him out of the dryer. Like a round fluff ball!
Die Känguru-Chroniken
von Marc-Uwe Kling
Beschreibung:

I'm Only Human After All
by
Alex Rogers
Description:
What do you do if you find yourself suddenly, and without provocation, the target of high school aggression, relentless insults, and painful isolation? Such is the dilemma of teenager Alex Rogers, the main character in I'm Only Human After All, the thought-provoking, absorbing novel inspired by the real-life trials of the author by the same name. In this penetrating story, Rogers draws from his personal experiences to offer invaluable insight to students, teachers, and parents everywhere on today's increasingly common, and highly damaging, instances of bullying and cyber-bullying. The novel's poignant, reflective first-person narrative details all that bullied young adults confront, casting crucial new light on this timely topic to enable individuals to cope with this pervasive problem. I'm Only Human After All also represents the debut work of fiction in the ongoing "Empowerment" series based on the author's life that surrounds topics relevant today.
Review:
Plot:
This book gave quite an insight for those, that never experienced it: bullying.
It is about Alex, a teenage boy, that starts his first year on highschool. As the main topic of this book is his story of how he was bullied, you can imagine, that the new school didn't go so well for him. Thoughts and feelings are described, while cruel jokes of fellow students are pulled out on Alex.
Language:
I really enjoyed the natural writing style of the author. It was authentic, I believed everything, nothing seemed fake. However, in my version there were a few editing mistakes still - something you can overlook though, as the general package was good =)

Hey =)
My first Blog - it still needs a lot of work. Now that I have time, I will finally start to make it look nice. What I plan to do here? Basically I want to share my thoughts about certain books I read. But I might actually add a tiny bit of additional time for other things - like my lovely little Sheltie boy who moved in recently. My first reviews will soon go online - until then, I shall invest time into the Design ;)
