Die Geschichte deckt sich langsam aber stetig auf. Sam erinnert sich immer wieder an Kleinigkeiten, aber es wird nie zu viel auf einmal verraten, das Ende bleibt bis zum Schluss ein Geheimnis. Allerdings hatte ich einige Vermutungen und ein Teil davon wurde auch wahr. Z.B. das Geheimnis und Sam und Cassie, das ich jetzt hier nicht weiter ausführen werde. Mit ein bisschen Logik war es also möglich einen Teil der Geschichte zu durchschauen, daher zieh ich auch einen Punkt bei meiner Bewertung ab. Es war spannend bis zum Schluss und ich mochte das Buch wirklich gerne (obwohl ich manchmal echt auf Carson verzichten hätte können...). Das Ende kommt dann sehr schnell und alles löst sich innerhalb ein paar Seiten auf, natürlich gut gewürzt mit ein bisschen Drama =P
Abschließend war es ein guter Thriller, der mit einer leichten Liebesgeschichte versetzt war.

Es gibt zwei Versionen des Covers. Das eine seht ihr hier auf meinem Blog und es gefällt mir persönlich besser, da ein Gegenstand aus dem Buch abgebildet ist. Die Bedeutung davon ist relativ wichtig, daher finde ich, es passt besser.

hat all Ihre Erinnerungen verloren. Und ihre beste Freundin ist immer
noch verschwunden. Das Zickenduo ist an dem gleichen Abend verschwunden,
Sam jedoch ist wie aus dem Nichts ein paar Tage später wieder
aufgetaucht. Alle Erinnerungen verschwunden, sie weiß nicht mal mehr wer
sie ist. Als sie versucht langsam wieder in ihr altes Leben
zurückzukehren, findet sie raus, was für eine fiese Persönlichkeit sie
mal war. Und auch, dass Cassie, ihre beste Freundin, immer noch
verschwunden ist. Fragen über Fragen tauchen auf. Was passierte in der
Nacht, in der die Mädchen verschwunden sind? Wo ist das andere Mädchen,

formerly bitch duo disappeared on the same evening whereas Sam popped up
out of nowhere a few days later. All memories lost, she doesn't even
know anymore who she is. Slowly getting back into her previous life, she
finds out what a mean person she used to be. And that her best friend
Cassie is still missing. Questions come up, a lot of questions. What
happened that night the girls went missing? Where is the other girl, is
she dead, is she hiding?
The story unfolds slowly but steadily. Sam remembers stuff every now and then, but it doesn't really give you any clue about the end. Though I personally had my suspicions and part of them came true at the end, like the secret around Sam and Cassie, which I won't speak about now. That is why i take one star off a full 5 star rating. It was very thrilling to read and I really liked it (though I could have skipped Carson at times...). The end comes quick and everything unfolds within a few pages then, not lacking a hint of drama =P
All in all it was a good Thriller tinted with a love story.

Though I personally had my suspicions and part of them came true at the end, like the secret around Sam and Cassie, which I won't speak about now.
